Worcester Computers Warranty
At Worcester Computers we believe buying a computer should come with genuine long-term support and peace of mind. Unlike many online-only retailers, we provide real local aftersales support from experienced technicians based here in Worcester.
Our systems are carefully built, tested, and supported in-house, and we aim to provide clear, straightforward warranty coverage without confusing jargon.
Standard Warranty Coverage
Unless otherwise stated, all new custom-built Worcester Computers systems include:
- 3 Years Parts & Labour Warranty
- Lifetime Technical Support
- Remote Assistance (where applicable)
- Return-to-Base Hardware Warranty
Selected premium systems may include extended labour coverage or enhanced warranty packages where advertised.
Warranty periods begin from the original date of purchase.
What Is Covered
Our warranty covers:
- Hardware failure caused by manufacturing defects
- Faults caused by component failure under normal use
- Assembly or installation issues relating to the original system build
- Internal hardware components supplied and installed by Worcester Computers
- Labour costs relating to covered hardware repairs during the warranty period
If a component fails within warranty, we will repair or replace the faulty item using equivalent or better-performing parts where necessary.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage
- Liquid or spill damage
- Cosmetic damage or wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper handling
- Power surges, electrical faults, or external environmental damage
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, or software corruption
- Third-party software issues
- Damage caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Faults caused by unsupported overclocking or incorrect BIOS settings
- Damage caused by customer-installed components
- Consumable items including batteries where applicable
- Data loss under any circumstances
Customer Upgrades & Modifications
We understand many enthusiasts may wish to upgrade their systems over time.
Customers may upgrade:
- RAM
- Storage drives
- Graphics cards
…provided installation is carried out correctly and no damage is caused during installation.
Any damage caused by customer modifications or incorrect installation is not covered under warranty.
Worcester Computers reserves the right to refuse warranty claims where third-party modifications have directly caused or contributed to the fault.
Software & Operating Systems
Our warranty primarily covers hardware supplied by Worcester Computers.
While we may assist with software issues where possible, the following are not covered under warranty:
- Software installation problems
- Driver conflicts
- Operating system corruption
- Virus or malware infections
- Third-party application issues
Remote support and labour charges may apply for non-hardware-related issues outside initial setup support.
Data Responsibility
Customers are responsible for maintaining backups of all important files and data.
While we always take care when working on systems, Worcester Computers accepts no responsibility for:
- Data loss
- Corrupted files
- Lost software licences
- Backup failures
We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups at all times.
Warranty Returns & Repairs
If you experience an issue with your system:
- Contact our support team with your order information and a description of the fault.
- Our technicians may attempt remote diagnostics before requesting return.
- If hardware repair is required, systems may need returning to our workshop for testing.
Customers are responsible for safely packaging returned systems.
We strongly recommend retaining original packaging where possible.
Shipping & Return Costs
For systems within the first 30 days of ownership:
- Worcester Computers may cover return shipping for confirmed hardware faults.
After 30 days:
- Customers are generally responsible for return shipping costs to us.
- Worcester Computers will cover return shipping back to the customer after completed warranty repair within mainland UK.
Shipping policies may vary for business, international, or specialist orders.
No Fault Found / Customer-Caused Damage
If a returned system is found to have:
- No identifiable fault
- Software-related issues only
- Customer-caused damage
- Damage caused during transit due to poor packaging
…Worcester Computers reserves the right to charge reasonable diagnostic, labour, shipping, or repair fees.
Dead On Arrival (DOA)
Any product arriving faulty or damaged must be reported within 14 days of delivery.
Systems confirmed as DOA may be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion in accordance with UK consumer law.
Refurbished or Equivalent Replacement Parts
Where original parts are unavailable or discontinued, Worcester Computers may replace components with:
- Equivalent performance parts
- Newer revised models
- Professionally refurbished manufacturer-approved replacements
Replacement parts will always meet or exceed the original specification where reasonably possible.
Business & Commercial Use
Warranty terms for business systems may differ depending on agreed service contracts or commercial agreements.
Business downtime, loss of earnings, or consequential losses are not covered under warranty.
Your Consumer Rights
This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights under UK law.
Nothing within this warranty policy affects your legal rights.
